چکیده

Autonomous agents seem to be a promising approach for application in computermediated supply webs. Supporting the management and integration of the planning, scheduling, and controlling processes they can be used as "enterprise delegates". However, this leads to a problem with common autonomous agent architectures, as they are not designed to model complex decision behavior of entire companies. In this paper we present an innovative approach to model Intelligent Agents in the context of the new agent architecture “Enterprise Agents”, which is using conflicts of interests explicitly to determine agent’s behavior and discuss its application to eBusiness.

Solving Conflicting Beliefs with a Distributed Belief Revision Approach

The ability to solve conflicting beliefs is crucial for multiagent systems where the information is dynamic, incomplete, and distributed over a group of individuals. The individual agents have partial views and, frequently, hold disparate beliefs regarding shared information. The nature of these conflicts is dynamic and requires adequate methodologies for dynamic conflict resolution. The propos...

Solution Consistency and Convergence in Cooperative Distributed Problem Solving

A negotiation strategy for resolving conflicts in cooperative distributed problem solving is presented. The strategy, which is called Progressive Negotiation, aims at minimizing backtracking to previous solutions and provably guarantees the consistency of distributed solutions and the convergence on a globally-satisfiable solution among heterogeneous cooperating agents. The progressive negotiat...

Multi-Level Conflict in Multi-Agent Systems

Conflict in multi-agent systems is ubiquitous. Research often focuses on the process of resolving conflicts between different agents. We call this the inter-agent conflict resolution process. However, in complex problem solving agents the process of resolving conflicts with other agents impacts local problem solving as well as deals made with other agents. This leads to the need for an intra-ag...

Solving Semantic Interoperability Conflicts in Cross-Border E-Government Services

Interoperability is one of the most challenging problems in modern cross-organizational information systems, which rely on heterogeneous information and process models. Interoperability becomes very important for e-Government information systems that support cross-organizational communication especially in a cross-border setting. The main goal in this context is to seamlessly provide integrated...
